2019 Asian PX Unit Turnarounds Statistics

In Asia, the capacity of PX unit turnarounds totals 10.827 million mt in 2019, mainly in Q2 and Q4. The newly added capacity is predicted to be as high as 14.8 million mt, among which, only a set of 1.5 million mt of PX unit is from abroad Wenlai Hengyi Petrochemical and the rest are from China.

In China, Hengli Petrochemical and Zhejiang Petrochemical, two world-scale enterprises, mainly put their units in H2, 2019. Therefore, PX supply will surge in H2, 2019, when the supply-demand pattern will see notable changes.
