October SBS Operating Rates Greatly Increased Due to the Decrease in Costs

In the 13 sampled producers, the monthly operating rates at 3 of them declined, accounting for 23% of the total. The output at PetroChina Dushanzi Petrochemical evidently declined, and the oil-extended production line was shut down for about 10 days. Units at Zhejiang Zhongli Synthetic Material Technology were shut down for maintenance in October. SBS units at Tianjin LG Botian Chemical produced with lower workload due to malfunction. The monthly operating rates at 3 enterprises rose, accounting for 23% of the total. Therein, units at Ningbo Changhong Polymer Scientific and Technical halted SEBS production in H2 October, and 3 lines produced SBS. The overall operating rate at Sinopec Baling Company was normal, and only 1 line underwent maintenance in H2 October. SBS/SEBS switchable unit at Huizhou LCY Elastomers converted to produce dry SBS in October. The monthly operating rates at 7 producers were stable, accounting for 54% of the total. Therein, the output at Shandong Huayu Rubber, LND, Sinopec Beijing Yanshan Company and Sinopec Maoming Company was stable, and there was no SBS production at Guangdong Sunion Chemical & Plastic, Shandong Jusage Technology and Ningbo Jinhai Chenguang Chemical.
