2019 Newly Added PP Units Planned to Be Built

According to SCI, the capacity of newly added units planned to be built in foreign companies will reach 3,050kt/a in 2019, which will mostly concentrate in Asia. The beginning of commissioning will impact China’s PP market, but the impact will weaken later. Most of China’s imported PP resources from Asia will be low-end homo PP resources. Global PP market will be tight balanced in 2019, so newly added resources will not exert notable downside pressure to PP prices.
