PetroChina Lanzhou Petrochemical Realized Historical Breakthrough of PP Production

According to CNPC, PetroChina Lanzhou Petrochemical produced 120.201kt of polypropylene (PP) in 2018, realizing 111.3% of the yearly production plan. It was the first time for PP output to exceed 120kt, hitting a new high.

The PP products produced by PetroChina Lanzhou Petrochemical were mainly special-purpose materials, and its branding rate reached 100%. Therein, the output of thin-walled injection materials and heat resisting materials broke through 100kt, taking up 83.31% of the total. The ethylbenzene output was 67.381kt in 2018, up 16.17% Y-O-Y. The company realized 134.76% of the yearly production plan.

Concerning the benchmarking management, the PP plant actively carried out the benchmarking work and formulated the implementation rules. It fully guaranteed the completion of the benchmarking work through various measures. In 2018, it consumed 1,003kg of propylene and 82.57kg of standard oil to produce 1mt of PP, which completed the second-grade compliance index issued by CNPC.
