ANRPC Lowered Global NR Output and Sales
Due to the spread of COVID-19, the Association of Natural Rubber Producing Countries (ANRPC) has lowered the global natural rubber output and sales in 2020.
NR output and sales were 13.8 million mt and 13.66 million mt respectively in 2019.
ANRPC predicts that the output in 2020 will increase by 2.7% Y-O-Y to 14.17 million mt. However, in its Annual Natural Rubber Market Report published on February 31, this number was 14.28 million mt.
It also predicts that sales of natural rubber will grow by 1.2% to 13.82 million mt in 2020. Nevertheless, the growth rate was 2.7% before the outbreak of COVID-19.
