Suntien and CNOOC Engineering Inked 4 Billion RMB EMPC Deal

CNOOC Engineer won Suntien’s EMPC contract on its Caofeidian LNG project, and both parties inked the ￥4.378b worth contract on November 26, 2019. Suntien moved fast enough since they received NDRC’s approval on October 29, and this 14 Mtpa LNG receiving terminal will enter the Phase I construction with a total investment at ￥25.39b and Phase I investment at ￥8.07b.

For the first phase, Suntien planned to build one berth, four 200,000 cbm tanks and matched 80 mcm/d regasification train and 2 Mtpa truck loading facilities, and the construction is expected to start within 2019 and operate in 2021.
