CNOOC Pledges to Fully Cover Winter Supply
CNOOC has supplied natural gas of around 11 bcm from November 1 to December 26, 2020, up 20% Y-O-Y. CNOOC is energetically securing the natural gas supply in response to the new cold wave, and the company plans to supply natural gas of 25.6 bcm for the 2020-2021 winter season, up 17% Y-O-Y.
In order to ensure a steady supply of natural gas in the winter heating season, CNOOC actively collected resources and strengthened the industrial chain coordination. CNOOC ensured the stable production of domestic sea gas and CBM at the largest capacity, and raised LNG imports via close communication with resource suppliers such as Shell and Qatar and reasonable allocation of LNG shipment. Moreover, CNOOC strengthened the routine inspection and maintenance of offshore oil and gas fields, LNG receiving terminals, natural gas pipelines and CBM fields to improve facilities’ production stability. Last but not least, CNOOC also joined hands with PipeChina, CNPC, Sinopec and other companies to jointly secure the domestic winter supply of natural gas.
