Shenzhen Energy Inks LOI with Macao Natural Gas
On March 10, 2021, Shenzhen Energy Group and Macao Natural Gas (MNG) inked natural gas cooperation LOI to purchase natural gas from MNG Zhiwandao LNG receiving terminal in South China’s Zhuhai city for its gas power plants in the Pearl Delta region in the future.
MNG Zhiwandao LNG receiving terminal is designed to build 3+2 million tons of LNG receiving capacity for the first phase, and the project is expected to run by 2025. Also, the terminal will connect to Guangdong provincial natural gas grid by three pipelines to provide not only truck loading service but also regas capacity and piped gas supply to the regional end-users The long-term design of the terminal was set to build over 20 million tons per annual receiving capacity, three 270,000 cbm LNGC unloading berths, three 5,000-10,000 cbm transshipping berths and six LNG bunkering filling jetties in total.
