China PC Export Volume Increased Notably in the First Three Quarters

From January to September 2021, China’s PC export volume totaled 254.3kt, up 40.99% Y-O-Y. The monthly average export volume was 28kt, up 40% Y-O-Y. In April, the export volume reached 31.2kt, hitting a 6-year high. Meanwhile, the export volume in Shanghai and Shandong increased by 57.56% and 175.35% Y-O-Y respectively. The export volume in February was 24.3kt, the lowest in the first three quarters.

In 2021, China’s major export destinations were still Hong Kong, Taiwan, Vietnam, Malaysia, Thailand and India. From January to September, the export volume to India grew notably by 614.41% Y-O-Y. only the export volume to Hong Kong saw a decline of 7.28% Y-O-Y.

From January to September, the major places of delivery for PC export were Shanghai, Guangdong, Zhejiang, Shandong, Jiangsu and Chongqing. Shandong has become an important production base with local PC capacity growing, and the export volume increased by 160.62% Y-O-Y. Guangdong saw the slowest export volume growth of 7.04% Y-O-Y.
