Sinopec Sabic Tianjin Petrochemical’s PC Project Went into Operation
China’s PC capacity growth has slowed somewhat since 2018, but the capacity is still on the rise. On December 1, 2021, Sinopec Sabic Tianjin Petrochemical’s integrated project produced PC particles successfully. The project uses Sabic IP's melting method and consists of two identical PC production lines, each with a capacity of 130kt/a. After the stable operation of the unit in the year, China's PC capacity will reach 2,330kt/a, up 20% Y-O-Y.
With the PC project at Sinopec Sabic Tianjin Petrochemical going into operation, the integration rate in China’s PC industry reached 46% in 2021, up 10% from 2020.
