Apr Isoprene Export Rose by 419.22% M-O-M
According to the customs data, the export volume of isoprene increased significantly from January to April 2022, and the export volume of isoprene from January to April totaled about 9,962mt, up by 87.35% Y-O-Y. In April, the export volume of isoprene increased by 419.22% M-O-M, and the volume exported to the U.S. increased significantly.
The recent customs data showed that from January to April 2020, the total export volume of isoprene was about 9,962mt, an increase of 87.35% Y-O-Y. In 2022, the export volume of isoprene continued to increase. Newly added isoprene units were put into operation, and the growth of downstream market demand was slower than the growth of output, so the export volume kept increasing from January to April. In April, the export volume of isoprene reached 6,152.7mt, up 419.22% M-O-M. In April, the largest trading partner for exports was the U.S., with a total volume of 5,747mt, accounting for 93.41%. From January to April, the trading partners changed significantly - the proportion of the U.S. increased.

Based on the isoprene export data from January to April, we found that the export volume in April was significantly higher than that in March, with an increase of 419.22%. In April, the exports to the U.S. increased significantly, resulting in a significant increase in the total export volume. In terms of average export price, the average price of isoprene increased from January to April increased compared with that in 2020, which is also due to the increase in international market price Y-O-Y.

Exports to the U.S. climbed significantly.Due to the large number of exports to the U.S. in April, the structure of trading partners has changed significantly compared with the same period last year. From January to March, the demand of South Korea, Singapore, India and other countries was relatively concentrated, while in April, exports were mainly concentrated in the U.S. From January to April, exports to the U.S. totaled 6,107.4mt, accounting for 61.31% of the total. Exports to South Korea and Singapore were 1,024.15mt and 915.5mt, accounting for 10.28% and 9.19% respectively. In addition, the exports to Italy and Spain increased significantly-O-Y, and the U.S., Japan, India and South Korea were added in 2022, making the export market more diversified.
