Nov 2018 China PP Output Analysis
Preface
China’s PP output decreased in November as many units were shut down temporarily.
China’s PP output was about 1,710kt in November, 2018, down 100kt from 1,810kt in October. There were not newly added turnaround plans, but about eleven enterprises shut down their units temporarily due to the breakdown. Thus, China’s PP output failed to increase a lot as expected. There are no newly added turnaround plan in December. Shanghai SECCO Petrochemical and Pucheng Clean Energy Chemical have shut down the units temporarily in H1 December, and the restart time has not determined yet. SCI predicts that China’s PP output will inch up in December.
