ISO LNG Containers Arrived in Changchun

On November 13, 2018, a container vessel with CNOOC’s 10 ISO LNG containers was unloaded in Jinzhou Port. On the morning of November 13, 10 containers brought by LE CONG was transported via truck by Diamond Trade Co., Ltd. Finally, these 10 containers were sent to Changchun.

The LNG in these 10 ISO LNG containers could be gasified to 0.25 mn cbm gas, and could be provided to 1,000 residents in the North for 10-day consumption in winter. Diamond Company transported the containers to Changchun at the start of 2018-2019 heating season, starting the practice of the ISO LNG marine-land combined transport.

The ISO LNG container could be used for both storage and transportation. However, its marine-land combined transport was carried out for the first time in China. CNOOC Liaoning Branch sent engineers to trace the transportation. Engineers installed the Beidou locaters and detectors to the containers, recorded the operation indicators and researched the trial running this time.
