Hengli Petrochemical Received 1,485kt Crude Imports in May
Chinese independent refineries imported 12,744.5kt crude oil in May, including 2,938.1kt purchase from bonded warehouses and 9,806.4kt of direct imports. The imported crude oil involved 23 countries and 48 crude oil grades.
Russia became the largest crude oil supplier for Chinese independent refineries again in May, and the crude imports from Russia was 2,006.3kt. Brazil was the second largest supplier, and the crude oil imports from Russia was 1,917.3kt. In addition, Chinese independent refineries imported 1,448.2kt crude oil from Angola. The crude imports from Angola dropped by 48.9% in May from April.
ESPO was still the most popular crude grade among Chinese independent refineries in May. The import volume of ESPO was around 2,000kt. Meanwhile, the imports of Oman oil increased by around 600kt in May, becoming the second largest crude oil grade. Among the independent refineries, Hengli Petrochemical imported 1,485.2kt crude oil in May, the largest crude oil importer. The second largest importer was Shouguang Luqaing Petrochemical with 948.2kt crude oil imports.
