Phase I Project at Zhejiang Petrochemical Started Operation

Source said, the construction, unit installation and commissioning of the 20 million mt/a phase I project at Zhejiang Petrochemical have been finished. Zhejiang Petrochemical put the first batch of units (including CDU and other related utility units) into operation officially on May 20.

This will help Zhejiang Petrochemical build its refining and chemical integration industrial chains, including crude oil-aromatics (PX), alkene-PTA, MEG-polyester-spinning-texturing, to achieve high-quality and efficient production. It will also reduce the cost of production and achieve higher profits. Moreover, it will support China’s aromatics and ethylene industries, boosting the production, processing and sales of midstream and downstream chemical products. As a whole, the operation of the project will bring both economic profits and social benefits.
