Short-Run Export Market to Perform Comfortably

In August, some PVC units in Europe and the United States ran abnormally due to force majeure, and some international units underwent an overhaul, leading to insufficient supply. Meanwhile, market demand for PVC in India and other markets recovered, facilitating international PVC prices to rise. Therefore, the export arbitrage window opened gradually from mid-August.
In September, international PVC market still performed comfortably. Formosa Industries raised offers by $130/mt for October shiploads. Offers were $940/mt FOB Taiwan Province and $970/mt CIF China. That boomed the market sentiment and stimulated the export market in China.
