Zhejiang Cenway New Materials Initiated Phase Ⅲ Project Construction
Zhejiang Cenway New Materials is a high-tech enterprise that integrates R&D, production and sales in Jiaxing Port Economic Development Zone (JPEDZ), supported and incubated by Beijing Tsinghua Industrial Development Research Institute. After 12 years of continuous research, development and innovation, Cenway has IIR capacity of 100kt/a in Zhejiang base and 100kt/a in Panjin base.
To better serve downstream enterprises, ensure supply, and enhance its competitiveness, Zhejiang Cenway initiated the construction of phase Ⅲ 250kt/a IIR reconstruction and expansion project. By far, all approval procedures and large-scale equipment bidding work have been completed. The construction of the project will start at the end of October 2020, and it will be delivered at the end of 2021. After the completion of the project, Zhejiang Cenway’s total IIR capacity will reach 350kt/a, and it will become the IIR products and solutions provider with world’s largest single-plant capacity and third-largest total capacity.
At the same time, the comprehensive utilization project of 750kt/a tert-butanol derivatives will be built at the same time as the construction of phase Ⅲ project, providing polymer-grade isobutylene for Zhejiang Cenway’s IIR. With the completion of the world’s largest isobutylene unit, Zhejiang Cenway will open up a new industry chain from C4 feedstock to IIR, and become an IIR enterprise with the best matching of feedstock resources.
