China 2-EH Market Price Bottomed out After Great Decrease
This week, China’s 2-EH prices bottomed out after the great decrease. As of March 18, the 2-EH prices closed at RMB 14,300-14,300/mt in Jiangsu market, down RMB 1,550/mt from last week.
Recently, the crude oil futures prices fluctuated at high levels, and the prices of most chemical products dropped slightly. With the rapid decrease in the prices of medical gloves, more market participants paid their attention to the continuous expansion of the industrial chain of 2-EH-DOTP-PVC medical gloves, and they were also worried that the 2-EH demand would decline in the future. This week, the operating rate of the 2-EH industry dropped slightly, while the 2-EH price still trended down amid the decreasing acceptance to high 2-EH prices. Early this week, the intensive downstream purchases pushed up the 2-EH price rapidly, while the price went down in H2.
