Apr China SBR Import and Export Analysis
According to SCI’s statistics, in April 2021, China’s SBR import volume was 33kt, down 25.46% M-O-M, and up 20.76% Y-O-Y. From January to April 2021, China’s SBR import volume totaled 144.6kt, up about 22.19% Y-O-Y. As the shipments were delayed due to the tight maritime transport earlier, the arrivals were concentrated.

As for China’s SBR unit running status from June to August, PetroChina Jilin Petrochemical will shut the unit down for maintenance from June. Sinopec Qilu Company is scheduled to shut the unit down in August. The units at Nanjing Yangzi Petrochemical and Rubber and PetroChina Fushun Petrochemical run normally.
