Aromatics Market Weakens on Limited Transportation under the Public Health Event
The impact of public health events has escalated again, with limited logistics and transportation in some medium and high-risk areas, which blocks inter-regional goods circulation and obviously impacted market mentality. The overall performance of aromatic industry chain is weak, and the weakness may continue in the later stage.

SCI’S survey shows that motor transportation and water shipments are both restricted to varying degrees, the goods circulation is slow, and the arbitrage window between regions is half blocked. Therefore, production enterprises actively sell goods under the inventory pressure.
Coal-based benzene market suffers losses
China’s coal-based benzene had been dropping since early July and kept falling in August. Producers maintained high operating rates earlier when they enjoyed profits, leading to ample supply.
