Apr Operating Rates at PVC Profile Enterprises Enhanced
At sample profile enterprises, overall operating rate maintained an uptrend in April 2021 and mostly reached relatively high levels. But given high PVC prices and low inventory of feedstock, downstream enterprises mainly purchased PVC on rigid demand.
The overall operating rate at PVC profile enterprises continued rising in April. Especially at large-scale enterprises, operating rates were mostly enhanced to about 80%, but those at small-scale enterprises merely rose a little. According to SCI, the average operating rate at 20 sample profile enterprises was 46%, up 7% M-O-M.
In April, the overall operating rate at downstream enterprises increased, though small-scale enterprises enhanced operating rates slowly. On the one hand, construction sites resumed production completely, ensuring passable orders at downstream enterprises. On the other hand, downstream enterprises encountered production peak season in April.
