Two more independent refineries got imported crude quotas

Shandong Qicheng Petrochemical got the imported crude oil quota of 1,600,000 tons/year, and Dalian Jinyuan Petrochemical got 800,000 tons/year. As of August 4, a total of 29 Chinese independent refineries were allowed to refine imported crude oil, with the total volume of 95,250,000 tons/year. Therein, Shandong independent refineries can refined 69,450,000 tons/year, occupying 92.91% of the total of Chinese independent refineries. In the meantime, another 3 Shandong independent refineries are waiting for the confirmation of their applications. If the applications of the three independent refineries are approved, the three refineries can refine imported crude oil of 6,440,000 tons/year.

Petrol stations in Henan Province started selling National VI Standard diesel

Sinopec started the oil quality upgrading in Henan Province. The first batch of National VI Standard diesel arrived at the petrol stations in Anyang City, Henan Province. On July 27, the NO. 37 petrol station of Sinopec in Anyang City started selling National VI Standard diesel. Other petrol stations are also upgrading their oil products. This shows the new cycle of oil quality upgrading in Henan Province started.

At present, over 20 petrol stations of Sinopec in Anyang City have received National VI Standard diesel, and all Sinopec petrol stations in Henan Province will finish the quality upgrading in September. In the meantime, gasoline and diesel prices will not be raised during the upgrading. 

Shandong Province promoting the upgrade of petrol stations

According to SCI, Shandong Province will start the double-layer tank construction of petrol stations recently. At present, some petrol stations in Zibo City have closed since August 1 to finish the tank upgrade within a month.

The single layer tanks are easily to be eroded by underground water vapor. And once the tanks are eroded, the oils may flow out. Most provinces issued policies on building double-layer oil tanks in 2017, but the upgrade is not promoted well in some regions at present.
