China strongly supports the development of the new energy vehicle (NEV) industry. NEVs are subsidized; licensing of NEVs is not restricted in most first-tier cities; fuel consumption is low or even zero. In particular, the subsidies contribute the most to sales. However, the subsidy policy is tightening. It is also heard that the policy will be canceled by 2020. How will vehicle producers deal with the issue?
