SCI China Imported Wood Pulp Price Index (Nov 7 - Nov 13, 2025)

The SCI wood pulp price index increased this week. As of November 13, the SCI wood pulp price index closed at 1,06, up 16 WoW but down 6% YoY.
Imported wood pulp spot market prices showed divergent trends this week, with market trading in a stalemate. The main reasons influencing the price fluctuations were as follows. First, the pulp futures at SHFE oscillated and increased. Under basis quotations, the spot price of imported SWP was raised continuously. Second, based on bullish factors such as limited spot availability, rising import costs, and support from a stronger pulp futures market, spot sellers further raised the spot price of imported HWP. Third, supply and demand changes were limited for imported UKP, but the raised prices from last week still supported a higher average price this week. Fourth, imported CMP market fundamentals saw little change, and the market price remained relatively stable.
SCI data shows that as of November 13, the weekly average price of imported SWP was RMB 5,566/mt, up 1.09% WoW, and that of imported HWP was RMB 4,322/mt, up 1.67% WoW. The weekly average price of imported UKP was RMB 5,108/mt, up 0.02% WoW, and that of imported CMP was RMB 3,808/mt, flat WoW.
