Befar Group to Acquire Shandong Binhua New Material

According to sources, Befar Group plans to acquire the whole share of Shandong Binhua New Material and extend its C3 and C4 industrial chains.

After the acquisition, Befar Group plans to build a 600kt/a PDH unit, a 800kt/a butane isomerization unit, a 300kt/a PO unit, a 150kt/a synthetic ammonia unit, etc. The 750kt/a PDH unit at Wanhua Chemical Group is the only one in Shandong, excluding the mixed alkane dehydrogenation unit. In the near future, the 450kt/a PDH unit at Shandong Tianhong Chemical, the 250kt/a PDH unit at Shandong Wonfull Petrochemical and the 700kt/a PDH unit at Zibo Qixiang Tengda Chemical will be put into operation in succession. In Shandong, most butane isomerization units are the refinery matched ones, only the 500kt/a n-butane isomerization unit at Shandong Dechen Technology is a single one to process imported mixed butane resources. After the 800kt/a butane isomerization at Shandong Binhua New Material to be put into operation, the capacity of butane isomerization units in Shandong will hit a new high.
