From 2015 to 2019, China’s total export volume of SBR trended down, and the total export volume of SBR was the highest of about 45kt in 2015 and was bout 22kt in 2019, down 51% or so. Therein, the export volume of SBR HS code with export tax rebate adjustments decreased to 8.7kt in 2019 from 35kt in 2015, down 75% or so. China’s SBR supply and consumption were among the world’s highest, but China’s SBR export volume was a few. Increasing the export tax rebate of SBR will help alleviate enterprises’ export cost, increase the profit level and be beneficial to China’s SBR export, and the shrinking of the SBR export share is predicted to be alleviated to some extent but cannot be changed a lot in the short term.
From 2015 to 2019, China’s PBR export volume remained in an uptrend and reached the highest of 48kt in 2019, up nearly 115% from 2015. Therein, the export volume of PBR HS code with export tax rebate adjustments increased to 33kt in 2019 from 18kt in 2015, up 83% or so, showing the obvious improvement of PBR exports. At present, the homogenization of China’s SBR products is more serious, so the export is a way for enterprises to expand their consumption direction. Meanwhile, China’s tire exports have been repeatedly restricted in recent years. In order to avoid the impact of international trade barriers on tire exports, China’s leading tire enterprises have actively gone abroad and built plants in Southeast Asia where has the rigid demand. The introduction of the new export tax rebate policy will further reduce enterprises’ export costs and give the PBR export market a certain support, which is conducive to the increase in PBR export volume.
