China Benzene Port Inventory Kept Declining

China benzene inventory at main ports of East China showed a reversed W-shape trend from 2018 to 2019. It hit highs of 254kt on February 24, 2019. Afterwards, the inventory kept decreasing.

According to SCI, the port inventory in East China was 83.1kt on January 8, 2020, down 1.7kt or 2% W-O-W. The international crude oil market fluctuated violently, affected by the tension in the Middle East. China’s benzene market mainly traced moves in the crude oil market, as benzene supply-demand fundamentals were largely stable.
