2020-2022 China PE Capacity to Expand Greatly

According to SCI, a total of 24 producers plan to add PE units from 2020 to 2022, with an estimated newly added capacity of 13,650kt/a. By 2022, China’s PE capacity is expected to reach 32,708kt/a. Among them, units with capacity of 4,200kt/a are planned to be put into production in 2020. At present, the capacity of China’s PE units has been expanded by 1,950kt/a in 2020, and the total capacity has reached 21,008kt/a.
