Xinjiang Coal Gas Transmitted to Shandong
On December 8, supported by PipeChina and pipeline enterprises and brokered by SHPGX, Xinjiang Qinghua Energy Group achieved the first domestic order of coal gas transmission from Xinjiang to Shandong. Amid the 2020-2021 winter heating season, it can supply natural gas of more than 25mcm to Shandong. It is heard that Jinan Towngas will be the first one to use coal gas from Xinjiang among the “2+26” channel cities.
It not only provides Shandong with a new gas source other than CNPC, Sinopec and CNOOC, but also is an active attempt to the natural gas marketization reform. Moreover, it is of great significance to build the upstream multi-source supply, the midstream high-efficiency intensive transportation and the downstream market-oriented oil and gas market system and to promote the healthy development of the natural gas industry.
