Saibugas Normalizes ISO LNG Delivery to Jusda
On December 19, 2020, Japan’s natural gas operator Saibugas delivered around 40 containers of ISO LNG totaled 720 metric tons of LNG cargo from HIBIKI container port in Japan’s Kitakyushu to Longkou Port in North China’s Shandong, as the first delivery of the weekly transport schedule which the two parties inked in 2019.
China’s LNG price peaked at the beginning of 2020-2021 winter heating season due to the over-expected strong demand from city gas companies under the severe low temperature and cold air, and the LNG supply was caught in shortage nationwide, not only in the traditional winter heating regions in northern China but also in southern China. As the most flexible LNG transportation mode, ISO LNG will show its convenience in the emergency assistance to help China’s LNG supply shortage, and the cost issue will also become subordinate under the current market circumstances.
