2020 China Ethanol Import & Export Review
In 2020, China imported 55kt of ethanol and exported 294kt of ethanol. Hereinto, the ethanol export volume trended up obviously, while the import volume remained low.
In 2020, China exported undenatured ethanol to 90 countries or regions. Hereinto, the export volume of undenatured ethanol to South Korea, Turkey and Spain was 74kt, 35kt and 22kt respectively, ranking first, second and third respectively. Although China exported denatured ethanol to 34 destinations, the export volume was low. Therein, Taiwan Province, Australia and Thailand imported denatured ethanol the most from China.
In terms of import, the import volume of denatured ethanol totaled 50,424.2mt in 2020, and that of undenatured ethanol totaled 4,538.8mt in 2020, accounting for 92% of the total import volume.
