Switchable Production Between EVA & LDPE amid Wide Price Spread
Both EVA and LDPE are downstream polymers of ethylene. At present, the mainstream production process of the two is high-pressure bulk polymerization. The production of LDPE by high-pressure polymerization of ethylene is a free radical reaction initiated by oxygen or peroxide. In the polymerization process, a certain amount of vinyl acetate is added to obtain EVA. Due to the coincidence degree between EVA and LDPE polymerization units, some companies choose to add EVA/LDPE switchable units to better balance the output and revenue between products as well as increase corporate flexibility. Thus, the relationship between EVA and LDPE has also become an important research topic for many companies.

By comparing the prices of EVA and LDPE in the past five years, it can be seen that the overall trend was not the same.
