Sep China PBR Import Volume Decreased M-O-M
According to GACC’s statistics, in September 2021, China’s PBR import volume was 13.7kt, down 22.01% M-O-M and down 61.23% Y-O-Y. From January to September 2021, China’s PBR import volume totaled 143.7kt, down 37.19% Y-O-Y.
Significantly Dropping Import Volume of South Korea-Origin PBR
According to SCI’s statistics, in September 2021, the top three import origins were South Korea, Japan and Taiwan Province. Therein, China’s PBR import volume from South Korea was 4,341mt, down 49.27% Y-O-Y, mainly as South Korea’s main export destination returned to Southeast Asia. According to SCI, from January to September 2021, South Korea’s PBR exports to Indonesia increased by 47.16% Y-O-Y, and to Thailand 19.78%.
Sep M-O-M increase in PBR Export Volume
According to GACC’s statistics, in September 2021, China’s PBR export volume was 6.6kt, up 14.56% M-O-M and down 21.99% Y-O-Y. From January to September 2021, China’s PBR export volume totaled 70.2kt, up about 60.25% Y-O-Y.
According to GACC’s statistics, in September 2021, China’s PBR major export destinations remained to be Southeast Asia. Therein, China’s PBR export volume to Thailand was 2,652mt, Vietnam 1,600mt and Malaysia 734mt.
