The Output of Chinese-Made EPDM Was Large in August

In August, as China’s EPDM units were basically in normal operation, the output increased greatly from July. But EPDM units at some plants will undergo the planned shutdown for maintenance in the future, so the supply of EPDM was limited in August.

In August, EPDM units at Ningbo SK, Sinopec Mitsui and ARLANXEO operated normally. At PetroChina Jilin Petrochemical, EPDM unit (B line) stayed shutdown; A line switched to produce 0050; C line produced 4045.

China EPDM Unit Status

On the whole, in August, the overall operating rate of EPDM unit was 60.06%. As EPDN units at Sinopec Mitsui may undergo maintenance in Q4 of 2018 (maintenance time to be determined), the supply of EPDM at manufactures was limited.
