On September 5, the Ministry of Finance and the State Administration of Taxation jointly released the news about raising the export VAT rebate rate of some products. It was learned that aircraft tires and ethylene-propylene rubber were included in the list, which was a bearish factor for the rubber industry.

The List of Products of Which Export VAT Rebate Rate Is Increased

In 2017, the export value of new pneumatic tires was RMB 38.17 million, and that of retreaded aircraft tires was RMB 19.06 million. The total export value reached 57.23 million, and the 4% increase in the rebate rate will lead to a subsidy of RMB 2.29 million for tire producers.
