Dawn Group: HNBR Project Went for Test Run

On March 27, the opening ceremony of the trial production of the HNBR project at Dawn Group was held. The project was invested and constructed by Shandong Dawn Special Elastomer Materials Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Dawn Group, with a total investment of 110 million RMB. The capacity may reach 3kt/a if the project goes into operation successfully.

HNBR has excellent oxidation resistance, thermal stability, ozone resistance, heat aging resistance, oil resistance, etc. It compares favourably with fluororubber. It is also the most promising rubber type, which has broad application prospects in the fields of aerospace, defense and military, nuclear and electronics.

It was learned that Dawn Group and Beijing University of Chemical Technology jointly completed the preparation technology for the large-scale HNBR production, which promoted the innovation and development of the HNBR production technology in China.

Yu Xiaoning, President of Dawn Group, said that the new project will make Dawn Group ascend to the top tier in the world and is an important project for the company to develop a real economy and build a national brand. The start-up and commissioning of the HNBR project is the beginning of a product and the starting point for industry. Dawn will continue to promote the development of the industry.
