Monthly Sales of Heavy-Duty Trucks Hit A Historical New Record

The sales of heavy-duty trucks in China were 144,000 in March, up 85% M-O-M and up 4% Y-O-Y, which is a new historical record in China. It’s said that the infrastructure construction, updating and much stricter environmental protection measures promoted a great increase in the demand for heavy-duty trucks.

Now there are about 6 million heavy-duty trucks in China, and the sales of heavy-duty trucks in China were 3.3 million from 2010 to 2013. The end users usually update their trucks every 7-8 years. Therefore, the demand for those trucks will increase intensively in the near future.

The sales of heavy-duty trucks increase in line with an upturn in the economy. It’s connected with the demand from the infrastructure construction, and with those opportunities created by China’s one belt and one road initiative. Besides, Chinese heavy-duty trucks have gained a competitive advantage at the international market. Therefore, there are great potentials for exporting China’s heavy-duty trucks.
