China Alkylated Oil Capacity Increased Greatly in H2, 2018

At the end of 2018, the governments announced again that the National VIA standard gasoline and diesel should cover all over China from January 1, 2019 and the gasoline and diesel below the standard should not be sold in the market. In order to meet the requirements from the oil quality upgrade, the refineries under Sinopec and PetroChina are active to build alkylated oil units. Especially in the second half of 2018, some alkylated oil units were put into production.

In addition, some other refineries are building their alkylated oil units, such as Sinopec Zhenhai Refining & Chemical, Sinopec Qilu Company, Sinopec Anqing Company, PetroChina Dalian Petrochemical, Sinopec Jinan Company, Sinopec Luoyang Company and Sinopec Wuhan Company.
