Sinopec Zhongke Purchased LPG as Preliminary Feedstock
On July 20, Sinopec Beihai Refinery Company supplied about 1kt of LPG to Sinopec Zhongke (Guangdong) Refinery.
By the end of May, although CDUs and some units at Sinopec Zhongke (Guangdong) Refinery started operation, there was no LPG production. However, Sinopec Zhongke (Guangdong) Refinery had to purchase LPG resources from the market as fuel or deep-processing feedstock.
Supported by the procurement of LPG at Sinopec Zhongke (Guangdong) Refinery, sales pressure on refineries in South China was alleviated somewhat. Moreover, the LPG output at refineries of Sinopec in South China was relatively low, so the overall LPG inventory was rational.
Besides, sources said that there was nearly no LPG supply from Sinopec Zhongke (Guangdong) Refinery, and the company arranged most LPG resources as the feedstock of ethylene and alkylate production. Accordingly, the overall LPG resource pattern will be relatively stable in the future. Sinopec Zhongke (Guangdong) Refinery also builds a 120,000 m3 low-temperature storage tank and 12 3,000m3 pressurized storage tank. After the construction of refrigerated storage, with the import arrivals, the LPG supply in South China will see increment.
