SCI learned that from late July, there were three times of navigation closure at the important ports in East China. The lack of timely delivery of cargo caused the relatively low inventory at some downstream factories in Jiangsu. The supply declined, and the traders and downstream users stocked up intensively. Consequently, the methanol prices in Jiangsu rose quickly.
