Baowu Buys First ISO LNG for Gasified Yangtze Project
Recently, one LNG ISO tank arrived in Wuhan via sea-river-land combined transport, which marks the successful trial transport of Baowu Clean Energy’s first ISO LNG deal. This trial run was jointly carried out by Baowu Clean Energy, CNOOC, Zhongshun Energy, Shanghai Baoyuantong Energy, Suzhou Zhibang Energy Equipment and other enterprises.
In recent years, clean energy attaches more attention supported by environmental protection, and LNG has a broad market prospect in terms of peak-shaving, gas storage, distributed energy, industrial off-grid supply and cold energy utilization.
According to the 2017-2025 layout plan of 45 LNG filling wharves along the Yangtze River, Baowu Clean Energy plans to build several LNG storage and transport terminals along the Yangtze River. On the one hand, it supplies clean energy to industrial users such as Ma’anshan Iron & Steel Group, Wuhan Iron & Steel Group and Chongqing Iron & Steel Group. On the other hand, it offers low-priced resources to LNG filling stations and wharves to solve the winter supply shortage in Central China and guarantee civil gas consumption. Besides, Baowu Clean Energy also paves the hydrogenated way for the Gasified Yangtze River Project.
