PetroChina SIPG (Zhoushan) Energy Starts LSFO Bunkering Business
On December 12, PetroChina SIPG (Zhoushan) Energy provided 1,000mt of low sulfur marine fuel to a large container vessel named EMC THALASSA HELLAS at an automated terminal of Yangshan Port. That was the first bunkering deal of PetroChina SIPG (Zhoushan) Energy after its foundation.
In January 2020, the new regulations of the International Maritime Organization and China's bonded oil export tax rebate policy were officially implemented, which is expected to bring changes to the world's marine oil resource structure and market structure. The port group in the Yangtze River Delta will take this opportunity to cooperate with the marine fuel oil supply companies in the region to jointly expand the bonded oil market, and promote the upgrading of integrated services of ships and ports and related industries.
PetroChina SIPG (Zhoushan) Energy is jointly built by PetroChina and Shanghai International Port Group. On November 20, 2020, the Zhoushan Municipal Bureau of Commerce issued the "Qualification Certificate for Bonded Oil Operation of International Sailing Vessels" to PetroChina SIPG (Zhoushan) Energy Co., Ltd. Up to now, Zhoushan City has approved a total of 15 bonded ship fuel supply companies. Introducing new companies to supply fuel to bonded ships will provide more possibilities for local bonded ships in Zhoushan.
