China Gas Holdings Pledges Marching GBA Gas Market
According to an official statement, China Gas Holdings, a top 5 city gas company of China, signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with Guangdong DRC on October 16 to deeply get involved in the natural gas and LNG business and development of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA).
Guangdong DRC agreed to list China Gas as Guangdong’s strategic clean energy partner and provide support from planning, policy to approvals. Besides, China Gas planned to cooperate with city governments in Jiangmen, Zhaoqing and Qingyuan. The strategic route map includes natural gas pipeline and infrastructure in rural areas covering 2 million households, LPG micro-grid projects, LNG receiving terminals, CHP projects and distributed energy projects, and LNG bunkering business.
Regarding the LNG business, China Gas plans to put massive investment in Guangdong’s new LNG receiving terminals and jetties, and LNG peak-shaving storage facilities. China Gas also shows interests in the LNG bunkering projects in Pearl River Basin and Xijiang River Basin and invests to build three LNG bunkering filling stations at least.
