Rizhao Kicks off Sixth Natural Gas Exchange of China
Shandong’s Rizhao City in North China announced on March 12 to kick off its natural gas trading on its commodity platform. The first deal was 250,000 gaseous cubic meters, and by far, the trading volume was 510,000 gaseous cubic meters and 1.28 million RMB.
This is the sixth commodity platform initiating natural gas product online following Shanghai, Chongqing, Shenzhen, Zhejiang and Hainan, and it is the first in Northern China, making Rizhao Commodity Exchange one more step forward to North China’s energy trading center. Rizhao Commodity Exchange currently has over 11 commodities online, and it plans to add three new commodities within 2021, further forging up its position.
