Aug China SBS Imports Decreased
Introduction: China’s SBS import volume in August declined M-O-M and Y-O-Y, and Y-O-Y growth of the total import volume from January to August slowed.
In August 2021, China’s SBS import volume was 2,651mt or so, down 23.40% M-O-M and down 22.48% Y-O-Y. From January to August 2021, China’s SBS import volume totaled about 27,114mt, down 4.72% Y-O-Y.
In August 2021, the import volume of SBR, thermo-plasticated, in primary forms (other than latex) (HS code: 40021913) was 2,354mt, down 23.44% M-O-M and down 18.65% Y-O-Y. The import volume of SBR, oil-filled and thermo-plasticated, in primary forms (other than latex) (HS code: 40021914) was 298mt, down 23.06% M-O-M and down 43.52% Y-O-Y.
In terms of the import origins, the major import origins of SBR, thermo-plasticated, in primary forms (other than latex) (HS code: 40021913) were Taiwan Province, South Korea and Japan. Therein, the import volume from Taiwan Province ranked first, taking up 36% of the total, and that from South Korea and Japan accounted for 31% and 19% of the total respectively.
