Mar Benzene Import Rose M-O-M
SCI learned that China imported 326.2kt of benzene in March 2022, with an average import price of $1,102.4/mt, and the total benzene imports from January to March 2022 reached 911.1kt.
In March 2022, China imported 191.6kt of benzene from South Korea, making up 59% of the total. Imports from Thailand and Brunei were 44.7kt and 24.2kt, accounting for 13% and 7% of the total, respectively.
In March, Zhejiang-based companies received 125kt of imported benzene, making up 39% of the total, followed by Guangdong and Shanghai, with imports of 56.1kt and 52.7kt, accounting for 17% and 16%, respectively.
In March, 278.9kt or 85% of China’s imported benzene was via the general trade, and 41.5kt or 13% was via the processing trade with imported materials.
