PE Output at Sinopec Qilu Petrochemical Likely to Drop with Unexpected Shutdown
According to the official announcement from Sinopec Qilu Petrochemical, at 9:25 on December 23, a fire broke out in the cracking plant of Sinopec Qilu Petrochemical. The fire has been initially controlled, and no casualties have been found yet.
The PE units at Sinopec Qilu Petrochemical are expected to be affected, involving a total capacity of 650kt/a. The main PE grades produced by Sinope Qilu Petrochemical include 7042, 7149U, 2102TN26, 2100TN00, 6098, 2480, 32F, etc. The supply of LDPE, LLDP, HDPE pipe and HDPE film materials in Qilu Chemical City, Qingzhou and surrounding markets is expected to shrink.
