迪拜道路交通局准备派遣的新型只能校车将配备14个安全摄像机，其中6个摄像机是360°全景摄像机，还有应急保险按钮，可以及时地向当局报告紧急情况。
其他的特色还包括：公共广播系统，有四台电视屏幕同时播放教育类的节目，当然还配有可供选择的WiFi。
道路交通局今年年初宣布揭露了新的校车服务，官方还宣布校车正式运营后还将发布一款智能应用软件，该软件是专为家长们设计的，可供追踪孩子们从早上上校车到放学下车回家的行程记录。
迪拜出租车公司学校交通部门的代理主任Mansoor Alfalasi宣布了发展计划，道路交通局也补充称该服务可以为个体学校“量体裁衣”，也包括为家长们设计的预警系统，如果孩子离开教室，系统会自动报警。
他说道：“涉及这个高端技术校车系统的目的是出于保障孩子们离家后安全的想法。不仅仅是家长，学校当局也非常希望能够使用这样的高端技术。”
回应提问时，他也表示目前有35所学校想要将这类校车纳入学校校车队，已经与道路交通局进行了沟通。

The new ‘smart’ school bus ready to be deployed by Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) will come equipped with 14 security cameras, six of which will offer a 360-degree external view, along with panic buttons that will immediately alert authorities of an emergency situation.
Other features include a PA system, four television screens that can show educational content; WiFi, of course, comes optional with that.
Unveiling the new school bus transport service that was announced by the RTA earlier this year, the authority also announced a smart mobile application will be launched as the new buses come into service, which will be designed exclusively for parents to track their child from the moment s/he boards the bus in the morning until they are dropped back home.
Announcing the development, Mansoor Alfalasi, Acting Director of the School Transportation Department at Dubai Taxi Corporation (DTC), RTA, also added that services can be tailor-made for individual schools, which can also include alert systems for parents when their child is exiting their classroom.
He stated: “The idea behind this technologically advanced bus system is to ensure the safety of our children from the moment they leave their homes. Not just parents, but even school authorities are eager to deploy such technologically advanced vehicles.”
When quizzed, he confirmed 35 schools have already approached the RTA to use these vehicles as part of its bus fleet.
