无论是买新车，还是汽车所有权转移或按期完成例行检查，迪拜驾驶，车辆测试是必须要履行的。
按照迪拜的立法,车辆必须经过测试,以确保车辆具有道路使用价值，测试不合格意味着车辆概不能上路。
根据道路交通局（RTA）最新发布的数据显示，技术测试不合格是很常见的。
RTA授权机构车辆许可主任阿尔苏丹Marzooki宣称，事实上，有19%的轻型车辆，30%的重型车辆以及10%的摩托车测试均是不合格的。
他说：“不合格的常见原因是相关的底盘附件比如车轴，车轮，轮胎，拉杆，机已翼和机轴等附件件不合格。”
技术测试不合格的车辆，车主30天之内必须完善车辆缺陷，期间允许再次测试。
未清除测试期间，未经登记的车辆，车主每天都将会被罚款。
此外，警方可能会在路上拦截司机并对未进行有效注册的车辆开出罚单。

测试预约单
车辆检测是一项非常耗时的工作。根据时间和地点的服务中心,车主可能最终要耐心等待测试或测试结果。

RTA最近推出了一项车辆测试预订选项。个人及公司联系RTA（8009090）呼叫中心预约（8009090）车辆技术测试，或直接联系RTA网站上的服务中心。
准备车辆
任何车辆都必须有一个有效的车牌号和底盘号。
车辆及车牌号必须清除。如果存在侧罩，也必须清零。
任何车辆,安全三角、备用轮胎和灭火器(适用车辆的类别)必须有一个可见的/可访问的位置。
若要事先RTA批准证明，任何车辆的广告或贴纸时唯一可以保存的。
什么要进行测试？
轻型汽车,测试将包括制动系统检查,转向,方向盘、可见性、照明设备、车轴、车轮、轮胎、悬架,底盘,底盘附件和其他设备,如安全带。
重型车辆将经过类似的检查，但灯，反射镜和电气设备也将要进行测试。

重型车辆和拖车一定有保护车辆背背和侧翼的壁垒,防止小排量汽车从重型车辆滑动或拖车时滑动发生事故。
需要哪些文件？
为了获得车辆测试，必须提供一张有效车辆保险卡和阿联酋身份证。
注册要续费时，用前面的登记卡即可办理。
商用车辆应该带有商业许可证副本。
应该何时进行测试呢？
新买的车辆,买的二手车辆或阿联酋以外授权车辆机构必须注册并要经过测试。
出口车辆必须在之前完成测试，损坏车辆也必须经过测试。
初始测试完成后，每年要重复测试。
登记期限满之前6个月要进行测试。
登记期限满之前6个月未进行车辆检测的情况，为了避免任何形式的处罚，车辆不能在注册登记满期一个月后进行测试。
来自另一个酋长国的车辆
以前，只有迪拜登记车辆才可在迪拜服务中心进行测试。
最近的变化是,在其他酋长国注册的车辆也可以在迪拜任何联邦服务中心进行测试。

Be it upon buying a new car, transferring ownership of a car or meeting the deadline of your regular inspection, vehicle testing is inevitable when driving a car in Dubai.
As per legislation in Dubai, vehicles must undergo vehicle tests to ensure vehicles are road worthy, and failing this test means that the vehicle may not be taken out on the road.
Failure of the technical test occurs quite regularly, according to recent numbers presented by the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA).
In fact, 19 per cent of light vehicles, 30 per cent of heavy vehicles, and 10 per cent of motorcycles fail the test, said Sultan Al Marzooki, Director of Vehicles Licensing, RTA’s Licensing Agency.
“The most common reasons for the test failure are related to chassis attachments, like the axles, wheels, tyres, steering linkages, arms, and shafts,” he said.
When a vehicle fails the technical test, the owner must repair the vehicle defect within 30 days, during which one vehicle re‐test is permitted.
If the test is not cleared within this period, the vehicle cannot be registered and the owner will be fined for every day that goes by without registration.
In addition, police may stop the driver on the road and issue a fine for the absence of a valid registered vehicle.
Here are some tips to prepare for a successful vehicle test:
Book the test appointment
Vehicle testing can be a time-consuming job. Depending on the time and location of the service centre, car owners may end up in long queues while waiting for their test to be done, or the test result.
“The average end-to-end service time ranges from 20 – 40 minutes, depending on the volume of customers,” says the RTA.
The RTA recently launched a booking option for the vehicle testing. Individuals as well as companies can contact the call centre of the RTA (8009090) to book an appointment for technical testing of their vehicles, or directly contact the service centres listed on RTA’s website.
Prepare the vehicle
Any vehicle must have a valid registration plate and chassis number.
The vehicle must be cleaned, as well as the number plate. If an underside cover is present, it must be removed.
In any vehicle, a safety triangle, spare wheel and fire extinguisher (as applicable to your vehicle category) must be present in a visible/accessible location.
Advertisements and/or stickers of any sort on the vehicle may only be present if prior approval from the RTA can be demonstrated.
What will be tested?
For a light vehicle, the test will include inspection of the braking system, steering and steering wheel, visibility, lighting equipment, axles, wheels, tyres, suspension, chassis and chassis attachments and other equipment, such as safety belts.
Heavy vehicles will undergo similar inspections, but lamps, reflectors and electrical equipment will also be tested.
Further, the vehicle will be inspected for noise pollution.
Heavy vehicles and trailers must have barriers to protect the back and flanks of the vehicle, to prevent smaller vehicles from sliding underneath the heavy vehicle or trailer in the event of an accident
Which documents are required?
In order to get a vehicle tested, a valid vehicle insurance card and Emirates ID card must be presented.
In case the registration is up for renewal, the previous registration card should be presented.
Commercial vehicles should be accompanied with a commercial license copy.
When should the test be done?
When a vehicle is newly purchased, bought second hand or from an authorised vehicle agency outside the UAE, it must be registered and, therefore, tested.
When a vehicle is about to be exported, it must be tested before this can be done, and when a vehicle is damaged it too must undergo testing.
After the initial test is done, the testing should be repeated every year.
The vehicle test can be performed up to six months prior to the expiry of the vehicle registration.
In the case where the vehicle test is not performed within six months of expiry of the vehicle registration, the test must be performed no later than one month after expiry of the vehicle registration in order to avoid penalties of any form.
Vehicles from another emirate
Previously, only vehicles registered in Dubai could be re-tested in service centres in Dubai.
This has recently changed, and vehicles registered in other emirates can also be tested in any federal service centre in Dubai.
