迪拜：一位高级官员说，一个新成立的委员会预计在今年年底开始调整阿联酋的水果和蔬菜市场。
经济消费者保护部主任Hashim Al Nuaimi博士表示，更高级别的消费者保护委员会将成立一个专门委员会，以负责监督水果和蔬菜部门的定价、质量和其他事项。
在接受Gulf News采访时，Al Nuaimi博士表示，该部门的成立对于消费者非常重要，因为它的交易量很大，且与居民生活息息相关。他补充说，每天，大约有12,000吨水果和蔬菜进入迪拜市场，另外有100,000吨在商店里。
新委员会将设立在迪拜和阿布扎比，但它将覆盖阿联酋全部的水果和蔬菜市场。
Al Nuaimi博士说，这个领域的价格目前比较稳定，供应量足以应对任何需求高峰期，所以价格不会大幅上涨。
今年3500项必需品的价格都保持不变，如大米和糖，其中500家出口。他补充说，低油价也有助于遏制通货膨胀。

Dubai: A new committee is expected to start regulating fruit and vegetable markets in the UAE by the end of this year, a top official said.
Dr Hashim Al Nuaimi, Director, Consumer Protection Department, Ministry of Economy, said the Higher Committee for Consumer Protection will establish a dedicated committee to oversee pricing, quality and other matters covering the fruits and vegetables sector.
In an interview with Gulf News, Dr Al Nuaimi said the sector was important because of its high trade volume and daily relevance to consumers. Around 12,000 tonnes of fruit and vegetables enter the Dubai market daily, which already has 100,000 tonnes in store, he added.
The new committee will be based in Dubai and Abu Dhabi but will cover all fruit and vegetable markets in the UAE.
Prices in this sector are currently stable and will not be allowed to skyrocket as the supply is adequate enough to absorb any spike in demand, Dr Al Nuaimi said.
There is already a price freeze in place for this year on 3,500 essential items, such as rice and sugar, at 500 outlets in the UAE, he added. Low oil prices have also contributed to keeping inflation in check.
